Our Story

Blending both new and old world styling, Home Identity, located in the heart of the Chattahoochee Design District, offers quality furniture pieces with a “rustic modern vibe for your lifestyle.” 

Home Identity was founded by two Atlanta advertising executives who believe the store fills a void in the Atlanta market.  The partners and good friends, Jason Russell and Chad Salenius, both have their roots in advertising and marketing.  Russell worked previously for internationally acclaimed advertising agencies, BBDO and Ogilvy & Mather, while Salenius spent time both as a brand and field marketing manager with Arby’s, a national quick service restaurant. 

Having traveled to the Far East for previous work, Russell and Salenius found unique furnishings, art and accessories that weren’t readily available in the Atlanta area.  The two entrepreneurs determined to fill a niche in the local market.  Through international buying trips and working direct with manufacturers from all over the globe, Home Identity is able to offer consumers unique, imported pieces at an exceptional value.  Home Identity truly has an international flavor, with pieces from China, Mongolia, Tibet, India, Indonesia, Italy, Thailand and the USA.         

 The boutique itself is classically serene, incorporating aspects of Feng Shui, while showcasing urban, antique and rustic modern furnishings.  Sophisticated, clean line sofas and chairs are enveloped in high quality fabrics or supple, soft leathers in a variety of shades and grains.  Simple or intricately crafted coffee tables, end tables, buffets and armoires are excellent additions to personalize any room.  Bamboo, bronze and even zinc serve as materials for fashioning and accenting pieces.  Additionally, featuring a focus on antique restoration, Home Identity incorporates such pieces as reclaimed antique doors that have been refashioned into “rustic modern” tables. 

Home Identity complements its furnishings with distinctive accessories, natural area rugs and striking art that promise to enhance any type of décor.  Bold, vivid colors and textures characterize paintings and abstract art.
